I’m Lucy Marcovitch.

My long education career has included classroom teaching and teacher training, developing classroom resources and guidance materials, designing the curriculum, and advising and leading on national education policy. I’ve worked in the public sector, for charities and with commercial clients.

I specialise in Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education, but I work in all areas of the curriculum, and not just in education – I’ve written for a variety of websites, blogs and newsletters, and had two children’s picture books published.

My expertise

I love the challenge of working for diverse audiences, thinking about what they need to understand and how to communicate that clearly. In a typical week I might be writing a resource brief for a commercial client, devising a lesson plan on mental health for 9 year-olds, training teachers to deliver a social action project, or scoping an awareness-raising campaign.

I’m friendly, flexible and creative, good at building relationships and instilling confidence. My professional knowledge is right up to date, and I have lots of ideas and masses of commitment to working with educators to find the best ways of supporting young people’s learning.

How can I help?

Have a look at my Services to see what I can offer you, and at my Work to see examples of what I’ve done for others (and if you’re a teacher, you might also find something you can use.)

Lucy is a fantastic primary education specialist. She brings extensive experience as a former teacher, national policy adviser, trainer and resource writer.
